Someone named "Joe" called saying he was our business' Embarq represenative (even though we already have one) saying he is reorganizing our plan and needs to fax me something that I need to sign. Now I don't answer this number's calls. Sounds like he is in India, not very professional sounding.

Claimed to be somebody dealing with a civil suit in Will County Illinois. I do reside in this specific county but owe nothing and my name was the name asked for. They proceeded to call my parents at their home in another county. I am so sick and tired of this gutless pieces of garbage trying to collect on the distant past. My debts are paid and current. I had a bad past but it has already fallen off of my credit reports which I check often. When I called the 888 number I got a woman asking me where she can direct my call. I didn't know so she asked me a case number which I didn't have. When is the government going to put an end to these people? I am not against debt collection if it's within the original and legal time frame at all. But when will somebody in the political arena realize that our names and credit are being traded around from one bad collector to the next like trading cards?

This same guy keeps calling me and saying the same thing, This is a scam. I told them to fax me legal douments and they just argued and hung up the phone.

just beeps and this call comes every saturday or sunday at 2:00 A.M. I am pissed
